PARSIPPANY, N.J., Aug. 15, 2013 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Avis Budget Group, Inc. (Nasdaq:CAR) today announced that it has been selected as the exclusive car rental provider for AARP members. The new multi-year agreement gives Avis Budget Group the opportunity to promote its Avis Car Rental, Budget Car Rental and Budget Truck Rental brands, products, services and special offers to AARP's membership base of more than 37 million.

As part of the expanded partnership, Avis Budget Group will provide AARP members with discounted rates and special offers on Avis, Budget and Budget Truck rentals. The vehicle rental brands will be prominently featured in AARP print channels such as AARP The Magazine, the world's largest circulation magazine, as well as digital channels, including AARP's website and email marketing campaigns.
