PARSIPPANY, N.J. and PONTE VEDRA BEACH, Fla., April 11, 2012 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- PGA TOUR and Avis Car Rental announced today that Justin Rose has been voted the March PGA TOUR Player of the Month presented by Avis. As the official rental car company of the PGA TOUR, Avis will make a $50,000 contribution to the Kate and Justin Rose Foundation.

In a fan decision on PGATOUR.COM, Rose received 60 percent of the votes and outpolled Rory McIlroy, Luke Donald and Tiger Woods. The four were nominated by a panel of national media for their performances during the month of March.

During the month of March, Rose won his first career World Golf Championships event, the Cadillac Championship, by one stroke over eventual Masters Tournament winner Bubba Watson. In three other March events, Rose finished in a tie for fifth place at The Honda Classic; he tied for 15^th place at the Arnold Palmer Invitational; and tied for 29^th place at the Transitions Championship.
