Established by India's Ministry of Tourism, the National Tourism Award is widely considered to be the country's most coveted prize in India's travel industry. The annual merit, conferred by India's President, Pratibha Devisingh Patil, marks the second time that Avis has received the honor for outstanding performance in the industry.
